Salman Khan in a Tamil remake???

Satish Kaushik, has purchased the rights of Tamil film “Pithamagan”. The actor cum director is keen on roping in Salman Khan, for the project. Earlier, Sallam worked in his 2003 hit movie Tere Naam, which was a super hit.
“Sometimes destiny has its own way. I have a nice script for Salman Khan which is much bigger than ‘Tere Naam’. I have bought the rights of Tamil film ‘Pithamagan’, which featured national award winning actor Vikram who had also done Tamil version of ‘Tere Naam’,” Satish Kaushik told.
What’s interesting is that “Pithamagan” just like ‘Tere Naam’, belongs to director Bala. Actor Surya acted in both the films.
“I have developed the script and I will soon narrate the script to Salman Khan. He is perfect for the character,” said Kaushik.

Shahrukh Khan did not attend the IPL 5 inaugural event in April. Rumour has it that he wanted to avoid Salman Khan, who was performing at the ceremony. And according to recent reports Shahrukh Khan might miss the IPL 5 closing ceremony too.

Reportedly, Salman Khan is going to perform at the IPL 5 closing ceremony and this is the reason why Shahrukh Khan will not attend the closing event.

Is Kareena Kapoor insecure about Saif's ex-flame Bipasha Basu?

It was reported that during the making of Race, Saif Ali Khan and Bipasha Basu shared a sizzling off-screen chemistry. Rumour has it that they both were dating each other. In fact, on Karan Johar's chat show Koffee with Karan, Bipasha Basu revealed that she could be attracted to Saif. Saif's girlfriend Kareena Kapoor did not take it too well and since then Kareena and Bipasha share cold vibes.

After Agent Vinod, Saif Ali Khan has started working on Abbas Mustan's Race 2 and Bipasha Basu is also shooting for a guest appearance in the film. Reportedly, Kareena Kapoor does not want to leave Saif Ali Khan and Bipasha alone, so she is planning to fly down to meet Saif as soon as the shoot of Madhur Bhandharkar's Heroine is over. And that is not all, Kareena is planning to fly down to meet Saif every 15 days. That means, Kareena Kapoor is still insecure about Bipasha Basu.

Interestingly, this is not the first time Kareena is doing something like this. Kareena had flown down to London to meet Saif Ali Khan when she heard the rumours about Deepika Padukone and Saif's closeness.

Kareena..., you only said once that your boyfriend was a Casanova but you still love him. Hmmm... that's why they say Love Is Blind!!

Its total collection reaches Rs 12.82 crores nett. Trade analysts feel that it is one of the most-anticipated action movies of India in 2012 and it was expected to gross more than Rs 25 crores from the domestic Box Office and another Rs 5.10 crores from international collection centres.

Jaya Bachchan insecure about Rekha?

Amitabh Bachchan, recently said that he is ready to work with his alleged ex-flame Rekha. But it seems that Mrs Jaya Bachchan is in no mood to bury the past and start afresh.

According to the recent reports, when Jaya Bachchan came to know that Rekha has been allotted a seat very close to her in Rajya Sabha, Jaya immediately asked for a seat change.

Jaya Bachchan, who has always maintained a respectful distance from Rekha, wanted to make sure that she and Rekha do not appear in the same TV frame when the proceedings of the Rajya Sabha are broadcast.

Rumours say that Amitabh and Rekha's love story began on the sets of Do Anjaane. It has been said that Amitabh was the reason why Rekha transformed herself from ugly duckling to a graceful swan.

While Rekha never hid her true feelings, Amitabh on the other hand has always maintained a complete silence about their relationship.

Well, we don't know about their personal equation, but we are sure that publicly Jaya and Rekha will always behave in a dignified manner.

Bristol Palin Slams Gay Marriage, President Obama, Glee, Dora the Explorer

Apparently President Obama's support for gay marriage, which he announced yesterday, does not sit well with Bristol Palin. Nor does the Fox hit Glee.
In an anti-gay marriage blog post aimed at Obama's first statement advocating same-sex marriage rights, Sarah Palin's daughter does not hold back.
In short, Bristol feels Barack is a stupid man, a weak leader and a bad father. Why? Because of his daughters' role in his evolving gay marriage stance.
"While it’s great to listen to your kids’ ideas, there’s also a time when dads simply need to be dads," says the 21-year-old spawn of Sarah.
"In this case, it would’ve been helpful for him to explain to Malia and Sasha that while her friends parents are no doubt lovely people, that’s not a reason to change thousands of years of thinking about marriage."
The unwed mother, whose baby daddy is totally MIA, continues, "As great as her friends may be – we know that in general kids do better growing up in a mother/father home. Ideally, fathers help shape their kids’ worldview."

Sunny Leone goes topless for FHM

Sunny Leone has gone topless for a men’s magazine cover. Sunny is seen in a translucent bottle green sari sans a blouse on the cover of FHM magazine, May issue. She is also sporting bindi and bangles.
The magazine has been in the news more for its controversial covers than its content.
In an earlier issue, the magazine had featured a nude Veena Malik on its cover, which had created quite some tu-tu-main-main between the magazine and Veena.

Jannat 2 earns Rs 24 crores in opening weekend

Bhatts’ strategy of making moderate-budget films which are strong on drama and content is ensuring them good returns.
The success of Jannat had put Emraan Hashmi in the big league in 2008. After that the actor has seen a consistent spate of success with films like Raaz – The Mystery Continues, Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai, Murder 2 and The Dirty Picture. Jannat 2 only cements his position in the industry with the film taking an unprecedented opening.
Jannat 2 started on a strong note and performed exceptionally well in single screens where it was primarily targeted. The first weekend collection is Rs 24 crores which is a very good figure for this modest-budgeted film from the Bhatt camp. Bhatts’ strategy of making moderate-budget films which are strong on drama and content is ensuring them good returns.

Sonakshi comfortable with older actors!

Sonakshi had recently admitted that she prefers working with older men in the industry and that she is more comfortable with them. Even since she made such a confession, younger actors in Bollywood do not want to be paired with her and the main reason is that she would look older than them.

It was heard that Sonakshi wanted to pair up with Ranbir Kapoor. However, RK refused her for the very fact that she would look older than him. The same applied to Shahid Kapoor too.

According to a source, “Sonakshi is very keen to work with Ranbir and Shahid, who are closer to her age. More so since she’s also working with Imran Khan in Milan Luthria’s sequel to Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai. But it seems she heard about Shahid joking that she would look older to him if they were to do a film together. That’s why she’s said to have declined the remake of Vettai.”

Interestingly, we we notice, all of Sonakshi’s co-stars till date have been older actors. Two films with Salman Khan, three with Akshay Kumar and another with Ajay Devgn.

Inside the secret after-credits scene in 'The Avengers'

Now that "The Avengers" is in theaters and moviegoers are discovering the secret new scene the cast shot just three weeks ago, it's time for EW to tell you what we know.

While EW confirmed that, yes, a new scene was being created, we didn't share everything we knew because, well, ... who wants to hear the punchline to a joke before the setup? Now that the movie has opened, and people are discovering the scene for themselves, we can exclusively reveal its backstory.

Read on, but only if you've already sat through "The Avengers" until the end of the credits (or if you're a joyless, spoiler-craving churl.)

In true Scooby-Doo fashion, the filmmakers would have gotten away with this scheme if it hadn't been for that meddling Robert Downey Jr., who revealed at an April 12 press conference that the superhero actors were reuniting that very night to film one last bit of footage for the movie.

Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige went into "Oh, that wisecracking, Robert" denial mode, and writer-director Joss Whedon did his best John Ehrlichman-during-Watergate effort to keep it under wraps, since any detail from what they were doing could ruin the fun of it.

Many who had seen "The Avengers" just days earlier couldn't fathom the concept: Marvel was shooting a new scene two days after the Hollywood premiere? Wha ....?

Rumors that it was a coda to the movie were especially puzzling because the film already had a scene that popped up during the credits, revealing (Again: MAJOR SPOILER ALERT) the secret villain who was aiding Loki's alien-invasion of Earth.

For those non-comic-geeks who saw this scene and had no idea who the character was (at the premiere, someone asked, "Is that Hellboy?"), we'll direct you to this explanation from EW's Darren Franich, and just say that he factors into Feige's plan to explore the larger universe within "the Marvel universe" in their upcoming films.

Lo and behold, "The Avengers" did have another post-credits scene in the works, and EW learned all about it when we interviewed Whedon and the rest of the superhero cast for the exclusive roundtable discussion that would become last week's cover story. (You can see videos from that trash-talking conversation here.)

That conversation answered a few burning questions, among them: how was Chris Evans going to recreate Captain America, since he not only had a buzz cut now (easily fixed with a wig) but he had a full beard — and still did a day after shooting? (That, obviously, is not so easily fixed.)

Last chance to get off the train before we speed fully into Spoilerville ...

Still here? Okay.

So, if you've seen the movie, you know that in the climactic New York battle against the alien invaders Iron Man does something selfless and noble and nearly loses his life for it. As he tumbles back to Earth, he is rescued mid-plummet by the Hulk, who breaks the fall by surfing down the side of some buildings and deposits Iron Man's limp form on the pulverized street below.

EW, coincidentally, was on the New Mexico set of the movie during filming of this scene, in which Chris Hemsworth's Thor and Chris Evans' Captain America rush over and Thor rips off Iron Man's mask to reveal an unconscious Tony Stark.

In the original script (SPOILER ALERT — and, do I really need to keep saying that at this point?) the billionaire awakens with a start and asks, "What's next?"

Movie and DVD Guide: Get the latest news, photos, and more

But during filming, Downey is notorious for pushing for variations and felt that line could be something snappier. Whedon agreed, and penned several new versions of the scene in a notebook the day of shooting. "Peek behind the curtain," Whedon told EW, showing us the scribbles. "It was one line — now it's three pages."

Those new lines were the seed that led to the last-minute scene, though no one knew that at the time — not even Whedon. Otherwise, he surely would have shot the post-credits sequence before his cast scattered and had to be reunited by the movie's premiere.

What was in those pages? "Please tell me nobody tried to kiss me," Stark says, looking up at a looming Thor and Cap. That line made the finished movie, but others didn't. There were several other variations in which Stark congratulates his fellow Avengers on winning the battle, and then — realizing it's not over yet — wearily begins making suggestions about how much time off they're going to be owed.

The line that made the final cut was a slightly more random one: Stark learns that there is more fighting left to do, and says fine, as long as the others agree to hit a good shawarma restaurant he knows in the neighborhood. (I guess after spending all that time in the Middle East, Stark developed a taste for Arab slow-roasted meats.)

We're not doing justice to the jokes here, but Stark's other cracks seemed to be a little funnier than the shawarma one, which seemed a little obscure. Of course, that changes dramatically if you pay it off with a scene of Captain America, Thor, Iron Man, Black Widow, Hawkeye, and the re-humanized Hulk all grabbing an after-work bite at said restaurant.

And that, dear readers, is what Whedon and Marvel realized after the fact, too.

When "The Avengers" is over — and we mean over-over, when the last credit has rolled — we cut to the gang sitting silently around a table, munching on pitas like any colleagues who have just put in a lot of overtime. In the background, restaurant workers quietly clean-up debris in the apocalypse-adjacent eatery.

And they say... nothing. After saving the planet, they are spent. It's basically an awkward kind of funny.

You can find bootleg clips of the scene online, but why do that? You've already seen the movie, right?

Right?

Anyway ...

We join "The Avengers" reunion already in progress.

It's the day after filming the new scene — weirdly, two days after the premiere — and Chris Hemsworth and Jeremy Renner are seated at a conference table in the Four Seasons Hotel, joking about the look of their respective LEGO figurines. Mark Ruffalo is playing "Hulk SMASH!" with a few of the Hasbro toys scattered across the table while Joss Whedon looks on. We're waiting for the rest to arrive.

Robert Downey Jr. has just entered the room, and immediately begins mocking the prosthetic that Evans needed to hide his beard for the scene. (Evans also, you'll notice, covers his face throughout that footage by resting his cheek against his hand.)

"Where is Chris Evans? Getting his face replaced?" Downey asks.

Movie and DVD Guide: Get the latest news, photos, and more

Evans hasn't arrived yet, but that doesn't hold back Downey. "Chris, why the long face? Chris, why the WRONG face?" Downey says as the other guys laugh.

Ruffalo shakes his head, his lips pursed. "Oh no ..."

"I felt so bad for him!" Hemsworth says, wincing. He makes a swallowed sound, like someone trying to speak through glued-shut lips.

Downey twists his face into an Elephant Man snarl. "Hey guys, I am not an animal," he mutters.

Pah! Out of nowhere, a rocket from an Iron Man toy fires just past Ruffalo's head, nearly hitting the real Iron Man beside him.

"What the f--k did you just do?" Downey asks, still giddy.

"Say that to my face ... my real one."

Ruffalo is still turning over the toy, trying to figure that out. "I just shot myself," he shrugs.

Whedon, who has been silent this whole time (making ixnay eyes because THERE'S AN EW REPORTER SITTING RIGHT THERE) finally gives up, and tells Downey: "Thank you for having every reporter ask me what we were shooting."

"You're welcome," Downey says, unapologetic about revealing plans for the scene at a press conference the afternoon before.

Whedon was exaggerating, of course. Not every reporter had asked that question ... yet.

"So what were you shooting today?" your friendly neighborhood EW reporter inquires.

Whedon squints his eyes, like Mr. Peabody when he's fed up with Sherman.

Downey opens his arms. "Carnival barker!" he declares. "Last night, I just wanted to make sure the excitement was there."

Whedon breaks into an impression of what he's been dealing with all day: "'So I hear you're shooting a scene?'" he says in the voice of a curious reporter. Leaning back and twiddling his thumbs, the filmmaker offers his fake-smiley response: "'I'm sure I don't know what you mean!'"

Then Whedon decides to tell them how it turned out. "We actually went through it as you guys left. It's awesome. We found three bits, beginning, middle, and end, and the end one was just supreme."

"So it's [going to be] the last 30 seconds?" Ruffalo asks.

"They. Are. Tired," Whedon tells him. "And then at the last second, he is just like [CHOMP]," the filmmaker says, gesturing toward Hemsworth and miming a big bite from a stuffed pita.

"I thought I might be sick, by the way," Hemsworth says. "I ate one [pita] each take, you know! And by the end, I was like, Whooooaaa ..."

"Hello, sir!" Evans says cheerfully as he enters the conference room — unaware that his prosthetic-covered lower face, and the difficulty he had speaking, are the hot topic.

"Not without my beard," Downey says, mumbling like his jaw is wired shut.

Suddenly Renner, who has been low-key this entire time, breaks into a Chris-Evans-with-prosthetic-make-up Buffalo Bill impression from The Silence of the Lambs: "'I'd f--k me!'"

Downey, as you can imagine, just loses it.

Evans laughs along like a good sport, but it was probably easier on him when the other Avengers had their faces stuffed with shawarma.

Avengers smashes US box office record

The previous best opening weekend was Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 2, which opened in July 2011 with $169m (£104m).
The Disney film was called Marvel Avengers Assemble for its UK release.
Included in the top five of biggest openers are The Dark Knight and Spider-Man 3.
The Dark Knight, starring Christian Bale as the Caped Crusader, took $158m (£97m) in its opening weekend in 2008, while Spider-Man 3 took $151m (£93m).
Both superheroes will once again be seen on screen during the summer.
The Avengers, directed by Joss Whedon, failed to beat the final Harry Potter's first day takings record of $91m (£56m) but surpassed it over the following two days.
No other big films dared go up against it, with only the British film The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel being released on the same day.
The Avengers has so far taken $641m (£396m) worldwide.

The sometimes perilous business of spy thrillers

Selling a spy novel these days can be a killer.
While there is undoubtedly an appetite for fast-paced, heart-thumping thrills in print, it seems that a combination of shrinking shelf space and authors who publish books seemingly forever are making the competition stiff.
"Dead authors and old authors never leave the marketplace anymore," says a New York-based literary agent who asked not to be identified because the thriller community is so small and tightly knit. "They are taking up the shelf space and the challenge is, if you're a new writer without a platform, is how to get a number of books taken that is gonna challenge the weekly onslaught of already-established writers."
Some hugely successful authors such as James Patterson and Tom Clancy have started working with less-established writers, which means they can crank out more books under their already-proven brand identities. Such trends have seen other authors long departed, including Robert Ludlum and Ian Fleming, continue to be published, even in death.
"Every time an author hires someone to write books with him, every time he does that, he's taking up a slot that might have been for a new writer," says the agent, who adds there is also a flip side: Those lucky few, the less-experienced authors, can garner attention they may not have been able to get otherwise.
Howard Gordon, who established his ability to thrill with TV hits like Fox's "24" and Showtime's new hit spy drama "Homeland" (which has even drawn praise from President Obama), says the market can be rough. His second novel, "Hard Target," just isn't getting the buzz he hoped it would.
"It's much different than the world of terrorism on television," says Gordon, who has just finished writing initial scripts for the second season of "Homeland" along with his production partner, Alex Gansa. "On a bad night, you can reach 5 million people in TV, and I'm struggling to sell copies in the thousands."
Other authors have found that the appetite for spy novels isn't what it was in the three to five years after the attacks of September 11, 2001, which some believe fueled the demand for spy stories about stopping terrorists in their tracks.
Former New York Times investigative reporter Alex Berenson spent some time working in Iraq as a journalist in the years after the war began and what he saw inspired him to take a shot at writing the perfect thriller. His latest book, "The Shadow Patrol," features his recurring main character, John Wells, who is not only a terrorist hunter, but a Muslim as well. It's an interesting twist in a world struggling to cope with stereotypes and misunderstandings of religion versus terrorism.
"I think it has gotten harder to get people interested in thrillers that are specifically focused on Muslim terrorism and the war on terror," Berenson says. "There is an audience for that, but I do think that people have grown disenchanted with both wars in Iraq and Afghanistan."
Berenson has a couple more books on his new contract with Putnam, but says that after that, he may retire his leading character.
Gordon says he'd like to write another book, but it won't be at the same breakneck pace at which he wrote his last one, while juggling his time between two TV shows (he is also the executive producer of "Awake" on NBC). It may be even harder for him to find the time if "Homeland" continues to be such a hit.
If only every aspiring thriller writer had such problems.

Beastie Boys star Adam Yauch dies aged 47

Beastie Boys rapper Adam Yauch has died at the age of 47, his publicist has confirmed to the BBC.
The musician, director and Tibet activist was diagnosed with salivary gland cancer in 2009.
Yauch underwent surgery and radiation therapy but said in 2011 reports he was totally cancer-free were "exaggerated".
Under the alias MCA, he formed part of the band that eventually became the Beastie Boys, selling 40 million albums worldwide with Mike D and Ad Roc.
Tributes have already been paid to the star on Twitter, with the likes of De La Soul, Ice T, Joe Satriani and Common passing on their condolences.
Rapper Biz Markie, who collaborated with the Beastie Boys on their Ill Communication album, wrote: "My brother, you are truly going to be missed. My heart is heavy."
Fellow New Yorker Moby added: "I'm very, very sad to hear of Adam Yauch's passing. He was a wonderful, generous, remarkable, and inspiring man and friend."
In a nod to the scope of the group's fame, New York Senator Chuck Schumer also tweeted his condolences: "Born and Bred in Brooklyn, U.S.A., they call him Adam Yauch, but he's M.C.A. RIP Adam."
Justin Timberlake said he was "crushed" by the news, while Nirvana's bassist Krist Novoselic thanked Yauch for his "Sabotage bass riff and many other great grooves".
Ground-breaking
The Beastie Boys started out as a hardcore punk outfit called The Young Aborigines in 1979 but switched to hip hop in 1984.
Two years later they launched their critically-acclaimed debut album Licensed To Ill, which spawned the hit singles (You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party) and No Sleep Till Brooklyn.
Fusing rock guitars with lo-fi hip-hop beats, Licensed To Ill was one of the first rap records to cross over to a mainstream audience - and the first to top the US charts.
But the band became equally well-known for their bratty, bad-boy personas.
They were lambasted in the British press for their stage show, which featured giant inflatable phalluses and cage dancers.
And, when they began to wear the Volkswagen emblem on chains around their necks, it reportedly led to a rise in vandalised cars.
Their obnoxious behaviour undoubtedly started as an in-joke but became something of a self-fulfilling prophecy as their fame increased.
Over the years, however, the Beastie Boys rehabilitated their image.
Their second album, Paul's Boutique, was retrospectively considered a masterpiece, its genre-bending sound collages paving the way for the likes of Beck and The Avalanches.
Later records saw them play their own instruments and expand their horizons beyond hip-hop.
In 1996, they released The In Sound From Way Out! - a collection of jazz and funk instrumentals, while the group collaborated with reggae legend Lee "Scratch" Perry on 1998's Hello Nasty.
But they are best remembered for their hardcore rap tracks - Sure Shot, Sabotage and the crossover hit Intergalactic.
Yauch was the band's filmographer, directing several of their videos under the pseudonym Nathaniel Hornblower.
He also directed the band's concert movie Awesome... I Shot That, which stitched together footage from dozens of audience-members.
'Sheltered'
The rapper grew up in Brooklyn, and was fascinated by electronics and explosives at a young age, building small home-made bombs from fireworks he had hoarded at home.
Aged 14, he removed himself from a Quaker school to join a public high school in New York. "I felt I was leading too much of a sheltered life," he told Rolling Stone in 1998.
There he taught himself bass guitar, after discovering punk through The Clash's debut album.
His new schoolfriends also introduced him to his future bandmates for the first time.
In addition to his rap career, Yauch was heavily involved in the Free Tibet movement, and co-organised several fundraising concerts in the 1990s.
"I think that movies and CDs... they affect the way people think," he told PBS in 1997. "I know they've radically affected the way I think."
He revealed he had cancer in a salivary gland in his neck in July 2009, which led to the scrapping of a tour and an album - Hot Sauce Committee, Pt 1.
In an email to fans later that year, he said the tumour had been removed and he was feeling "healthy, strong and hopeful".
Yauch travelled to a Tibetan community in Dharamsala in India after surgery.
He told fans: "I'm taking Tibetan medicine and at the recommendation of the Tibetan doctors I've been eating a vegan/organic diet."
But in January 2010, he was forced to deny press reports that he was fully recovered.
"I'm continuing treatment, staying optimistic and hoping to be cancer free in the near future," he said in a statement.
The Beastie Boys were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame last month, but Yauch was not able to attend. On the night, The Red Hot Chili Peppers dedicated their performance to Yauch.

Octuplets mom Suleman says she's open to porn offer, but no touching

Nadya Suleman says she is so determined to build a future for her 14 young children that she is now willing to act in a porn film, although she would not touch another "human's flesh."
"I wouldn't even kiss somebody for money," Suleman told HLN "Showbiz Tonight" correspondent Nischelle Turner. "I would not kiss somebody. I wouldn't touch somebody."
Suleman invited Turner and a camera crew into her home on Friday to see firsthand how she's dealing with financial and parenting pressures.
On Monday, Suleman filed for federal bankruptcy protection.
"I have had to make some very difficult decisions the year, and filing Chapter 7 was one of them," Suleman said in a written statement Monday. "But I have to do what is best for my children and I need a fresh start."
Friday's interview was punctuated by frequent interruptions for potty training, discipline and cooking as Suleman, 36, single-handedly cared for her large brood. "It's nonstop," she said.
"Everyone go pee-pee," she told her children. "Stand in line to go pee."
The Orange County, California, home she bought after she gave birth to octuplets three years ago is in foreclosure, but she says she has no fears of becoming homeless.
"God forbid that we lose the house, I have a very good friend and her husband -- huge house, and they're offering," she said. But her goal is to raise enough cash to buy a new home outright, with no mortgage, she said.
Suleman said no two years ago when an adult film company offered to pay off her mortgage if she would sign a movie contract, but she's open to another offer now, she said.
"If it's a job, and it's a well-paying job, and it's going to allow me to get us out of here and into a very safe huge home that they deserve, then I'm going to do it," she said. But she would allow no kissing and no touching.
Although she said previously that she would never pose nude for money, she recently earned $8,000 for posing topless for a British magazine.
"You know, if the opportunity comes up, I'll be the first to admit I'm gonna eat my words, because all that matters is that I can take care of my family," she said.
She pushed back at the negative media reports questioning how she's raising her children.
"Look at what's happened," she said. "They're over 3, not one broken bone, not one injury, not one child with a disability."
Social workers visited her home recently to check on reports that it was filthy and unfit. But they found nothing wrong, she said.
Graffiti on the walls, put there by her oldest son as a way of venting his frustration, and holes punched by a son who is autistic, do not mean its not a safe, happy home, she said.
"I'm so done," she said. "You people, you keep your business to yourself, and I'll keep my business to myself. My kids are healthy, they're happy, they've got food."
The octuplets -- six boys and two girls -- are actually easier to care for than the six older children, she said.
"They're so, so good because I started from day one implementing structure and discipline," she said.
Her main disciplinary tool is a "time out rug," she said.
"It's a very important spot because most of them don't really need it anymore," she said. "But at this point, all I have to do is just point to it."
Her children eat up to 10 meals a day, she said.
"They eat all the time, every hour, two hours, they get a meal, and we're talking meals that are vegetables, fruit, oatmeal," she said.
She gets $2,000 a month in Food Stamp assistance to help feed them. Applying for the state aid was a low point for her, she said.
"I cried making that call, and you know what? I'd do it again," she said. "But my goal, my goal is to get off this immediately."
Suleman dreams of building a business "empire" that will pay for food, shelter and college educations for her 14 children.
She ultimately hopes to become a role model for other women facing major struggles, she said.
"In the future, and I've got to win the battle," she said. "But right now, people don't understand that."
